How To Style Plaid Coats for Winter 2020

As you guys know, outerwear is a BIG part of Winter fashion. In a state were temperatures drop below freezing, I have a fair amount of essential coats in my wardrobe. There’s tons of different styles, shapes and colors to choose from that vary from season to season. A new addition for me this year are plaid coats. I’ve been pretty obsessed with them lately! Anything plaid to be honest but coats in particular for the colder months. They have become a favorite for Fall and Winter.

I love that they can be worn in so many different ways and can easily be dressed up or down. They are the PERFECT statement piece that can elevate any type of outfit. Even when it is 0 degrees and looking put together seems near impossible! One of my favorite plaid coats so far has to be this coat I rented a couple of times from Rent the Runway. Look 1: Paired this plaid coat with a white button up shirt, a super comfy pair of high waisted mom jeans and nude pumps. Just a simple way to dress up an effortless look. You can find these jeans on this blog post as well. They are my fav!

Look 2: For a more casual look I paired a couple of my staple pieces together. A black turtle neck with a pair of corduroy cream mom jeans and my favorite leather booties. I love mixing textures lately so I went with a velvet headband and my Givenchy leather bag.

Look 3: Loving the comfy chic vibes! Definitely the type of outfit I wear when I have tons of things to do but still want to look put together. It totally works! This top and leggings are also part of this blog post! 🙂

Currently writing this blog post while laying down right next to my youngest. ( That is still not feeling well 🙁 ) If you saw my stories on Instagram, you know I ended up taking her to the doctor on Friday because her school called me to let me know she had a fever. She tested negative for the influenza virus, thank goodness! But the fever won’t go away and today she’s not feeling any better. I’m praying she feels better by tomorrow, if not I will have to take her back to the doctor.
